Things are beginning to keep regular at work. Both sides. Clinic and spa. Thank goodness for that.

One of the new films I’m working on, “Auburn Afternoon” is developing nicely. I have a meeting with the director later tonight. We’re going to work on scheduling, wardrobe, character development, and script translation. Yeah, I’m doing this film in another language. Ilocano to be exact. And he already has the locations picked out. I’m excited. Specially because this is a personal piece for the director. So extra effort is going into every stage of production.

I found out today my good friend’s grandmother passed away. My heart goes out to her family. Please pray for them.

I came into work expecting another usual day, but instead received some awful news. A distant family member, Christian, is in the hospital for meningitis. He is only 6 months old. Meningitis is a viral infection of a layer coating the brain. I fear for the seriousness of the illness and at his age…but I can’t imagine what his mother and father is going through. Now I’ll have a cloud over my head till I find out if he’ll be okay.

To add to the situation, and old neighbor and very very close friend of mine told me a few days ago that his grandmother, whom I know and love very much, is in an ICU room of St. Francis West hospital. Prayers go out to her and her family as well. I hope she pulls through.

Despite the fact that I’m working on 4 different films all at once, I feel like I should be busier. It’s been over three months with two of them and about 3 weeks since I jumped on board with the other two. Shoots haven’t started yet. All four films are still in preproduction stages. But film days are getting closer. I’ve hit a recession at work. Specially at the spa. I living off of my paychecks from the clinic, but with new car payments, credit card payments, phone bills, rent, and daily living expenses… I feel like I’m going to go crazy!

Ran into Nelson at the library in UH. He asked about the films… after explaining what stages they were in, I felt a little reassured. I guess. The films are still moving along and as soon as production actually starts, I’m going to be so busy I’ll feel like I’ll go crazy… again. Either or, I’m always on the brink of insanity. I think too much, too far in the future.

At the moment, sitting in the university’s library enjoying the air conditioning. And starving. Always starving.

Currently a single male working two jobs as a massage therapist while whole heartedly pursuing a career in the film industry. Have worked and 24 inde film and at the moment, 4 new ones. I still haven’t had a paid gig. Hoping (and working) so things change. For the better. But not the ‘male’ part.
